What services do we offer?
We address the key areas that matter most when building a new life in the UK. From housing to employment, each service is designed to help you settle in with confidence.
Housing and essentials
Access to safe, stable housing is fundamental to our service users' success. We support them in: • Applying for social housing through expert guidance on eligibility and the application process. • Providing ongoing management of their Homefinder accounts, ensuring they stay engaged with housing opportunities. • Assisting with the transition into long-term or permanent accommodation • Conducting daily checks to promote the cleanliness of communal areas and ensure service users are adhering to their license agreements.
Education
We believe education is a powerful tool for integration and personal growth. To support our service users' development, we provide: • Assistance with enrollment in colleges or training programmes tailored to their skills and aspirations. • Access to IT and digital literacy courses to ensure service users can navigate technology effectively. • Support with English language acquisition through ESOL courses, enabling service users to communicate confidently in their new environment. • Guidance on where to access debt management workshops for service users needing education on financial literacy and repayment strategies.
Employment support
Securing meaningful employment is a vital step in helping service users achieve independence and contribute to society. We provide: • Personalised support with CV writing, job applications, and interview preparation, equipping service users with the tools to succeed. • Referrals to the Job Shop and other local employment services, connecting service users to job openings that align with their skills and experiences. • Guidance on self-employment opportunities and pathways to voluntary work, encouraging service users to explore diverse career options and develop new skills.
Community integration
As a trusted partner of local authorities and community services, we take referrals for individuals who require structured support during their transition into independent living. Upon receiving referrals, One United Integration conducts a thorough assessment process to determine the suitability of individuals. Our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each service user, with a focus on achieving long-term stability and independence.
Financial support
We aim to alleviate financial stress for service users by helping them secure the financial assistance they need and manage their resources. Our services include: • Guiding service users through the Universal Credit and Housing Benefit application processes. • Providing ongoing support to manage their benefit accounts, ensuring timely submissions and compliance. • Offering education on budgeting and financial planning to help service users achieve financial stability and independence.
Advocacy
Language barriers often prevent service users from fully expressing themselves or accessing critical resources. To address this, we offer robust advocacy services, including: • Guidance on Job Centre appointments, ensuring they understand the process and are treated fairly. • Supporting service users with medical consultations to help them communicate their needs effectively. • Acting as a bridge between service users and service providers, empowering them to overcome linguistic and cultural obstacles.
Why do we do this?
It is inhumane that any person should have to live in danger, poverty and deprivation, war torn environments and inequality. The United Kingdom has a responsibility to support some of our most vulnerable people and organisations like One United Integration contribute to our country’s duty of care. We understand that our refugees and migrants often come from a background of suffering and may have embarked upon a treacherous journey to the UK, which may have created psychological and physical distress; and are simply seeking support to embark on a better life with increased opportunity. At One United Integration, through our carefully tailored package of support, education and training, we strive for equality for all and to ensure that all our clients have access to everything they need to reach their potential
Collaborative Partnerships
One United Integration partners directly with local councils to identify and support clients, ensuring we meet the specific needs of our communities. Currently, we collaborate with Coventry City Council, with plans underway to expand our partnerships and services to additional locations in the near future.
